A simple solution for those that can’t figure out how to wire those damn LED’s. Check out this light painting photography tutorial on how to create a simple ORB maker. HERE
Having used xmas lights as my first orbing tool may I mention a couple of things:
1. Add a little weight by the lights to assist your spin consistency. I used 1 or 2 old AA batteries. On my latest set up I use fishing weights or coins. Up to 100g is good IMO.
2. Those xmas lights are cheap for a reason – the wire won’t last that long. To try and extend the life, vary your gripping point so you don’t mash up the wire as quickly.
