Jeremy Jackson’s a.k.a. TACKYSHACK “Fire and Light Masks” are awesome. He creates these light paintings by going mental with various lights and fireworks next to the pond at his house. The water in the pond reflects the light and wahlah Light Masks are created. I have been staring at this image for a good 30 minutes now. Take a close look at all of the intricacies in this Light Painting. I have bought a couple of prints from Jeremy and I am going to have to add this one to my collection, this one is just incredible. Check out this “making of” video that Tackshack was kind enough to share, it really shows how much went into this image. Ask yourself, how the hell did he keep track of all his tools….enjoy.
Patrick Rochon Live Light Painting Video
A great thing about our light painting art form is that we inspire imagination, every light painter has had someone see them out creating images and wanted to give it a try. I can’t think of another form of art that can instantly spark the imagination like light painting does. At the 2010 edition of Toronto’s Sunset to Sunrise Celebration of Contemporary Art, artist Patrick Rochon was on hand to give a live light painting demonstration. Patrick invited the audience to participate in the creation and with over a million people in attendance, Patrick had the opportunity to share his work with a diverse group of viewers! Check out the video below posted by the Society for Arts and Technology.

Did you ever see those ford commercials like this one.
Well this form of light painting blows my mind and I had to figure out how it was created. I did some serious internet investigation and after hours of google searching I came up with an answer. It seams they are created with a technology known as Luma2solator. It is a light painting photographic technique that was created and developed by a bunch of lovable nuts from Amsterdam known as PIPS LAB. Check out the video below for more on the Luma2solator and PIPS LAB.
