August 2014 Light Painting Contest Entries

Here are the entries for the August 2014 light painting photography contest. Everyone PLEASE VOTE in the comments section of this page to pick your top 3 images, the images all have a number in the title (EXAMPLE… IF ONE OF YOUR FAVORITES IS THE IMAGE TITLED “August 2014 Light Painting Contest 03″ THEN YOU SHOULD PUT THE NUMBER 3 AS ONE OF YOUR CHOICES). Please remember that the theme of this contest was to create a light painting using some sort of fireworks. Voters that do not include 3 unique choices in their post will not be counted. In other words no 1,1,1, or 5,5,5, or 9,9,9…..Please pick your three favorite IMAGES based on the image alone.

Over the next few weeks I will be slacking on updating the Light Painting Photography website. Some of you may have noticed the lack of new articles and this is not because of a lack of love for light painting or because there isn’t that much going on, the opposite is true… I do apologize for the lack of new posts recently, however I am working on something really cool for all of us and I promise your not going to be disappointed! There are going to be some big changes in our community and lots of important new ideas coming forth in the next few months and I promise to keep everyone updated on any major news. Good stuff coming soon!!!

I have always likened the beauty of light painting to that of a piece of music in that it can transcend cultural boundaries and just be appreciated as a beautiful thing. This cool piece of art from the creative collective of Daily tous les jours. that illuminates and plays music as the swingers swing does just that. Imagine what you could create with it. I see an incredible stop motion animation set to the music that this swing set can create….
