An installation which enables the audience to make light paintings and light graffiti themselves. The audience becomes artist and subject. The Luma2solator uses a revolutionary technique, invented and developed by PIPS:lab, which is a real time equivalent of the photographic principle of an open shutter: one can see what one is doing. The Luma2solator has an on-board flash, which captures the artist within his light painting. The installation shows all the works of art when they are not in use. Besides the real time feature, the Luma2solator is enhanced with an ‘animation’ and ‘beat’ modus which invite and guide the user in the process of making four images, which are shown in a rhythmical sequence after recording.

Five men. Five ego’s. Ten years. Archie & the Bees is PIPS:lab naked and honest. They invite their group therapist onto the stage floor and bluntly share their vulnerability as a group of artists. Power struggles, magical tricks with light, colour and sound and soothing yet quirky tunes are the core ingredients of this new PIPS:lab creation.

The proportional amount of elderly people (65+) in the world will increase dramatically in the near future. This cause of events is what PIPS:lab call Greyification. And in it they see an enormous possibility for commercial self-enrichment.

Thus they create DieSpace.nl: the first internet community for those in the Afterlife.
