Here are the entries for the December light painting photography contest. Everyone PLEASE VOTE in the comment section of the page to pick your top 3 images, the images all have a number in the title. This months contest theme was NOCTOGRAPHY, meaning the images should be in the style of light painting artist Nocturne. Voting ends on the 1st.
Oh and P.S. Voters that do not include 3 unique choices in their post will not be counted. In other words no 1,1,1, or 5,5,5, or 22,22,22…..Please pick your three favorite IMAGES based on the image alone.

Nocturne just rips off Troy Paiva’s style. This month’s theme should have been “Lost America”

I’ve only seen a couple star trail shots come from Troy, that’s where [Nocturne] really shines. I’ve never seen Troy lock himself naked in an animal cage for foreground comp, light paint a cow, or do a whole series focused just on toys. I love the legend, Troy, just as much as you but come on, [Nocturne] has one of the most distinguishable styles in the game. Have some respect. & if using colored gels is considered ripping off, we’d better all just quit what we’re doing and find a new hobby. (Speaking of startrails, I was amazed to see only one in the whole lineup)

“LP Guy” every light painter is inspired by other light painters and Nocturne openly states that his body of work was inspired by Troy Paiva. Because someone has drawn inspiration from a master like Troy does not mean they are ripping him off and I agree with Aaron if it does then we all are ripping someone off. Nocturne is a great light painter and puts in more work to progress and promote light painting photography than most. He deserves his spot at the top and for you to be a B!@#* sitting behind your computer screen not even posting who you are is lame. Feel free to not visit this site again.
