Polaroid Light Painting Tutorial with the OneStep+
If you want SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) results, there’s no better way than Light Painting with a Polaroid Camera! In this Light Painting Tutorial, I show how to Light Paint using the Polaroid OneStep+ and some creative tools from LightPaintingBrushes.com.
This modernized version of the classic Polaroid camera — when paired with the Polaroid app on your phone — opens a whole new world of creative possibilities, including Light Painting!
The app includes a built-in Light Painting setting, but I got better results using the full manual controls. The Light Painting mode in the app uses a fixed aperture (unknown, possibly between F32–F64), but full manual mode allows you to set the aperture and shutter manually. I found the best results at F22 with the shutter set to Bulb.
