How To Light Paint A Spirograph

In this Light Painting Photography Tutorial I show how to create what is basically a multiple exposure image in a single exposure using a light painting technique known as lens capping. Instead of using a lens cap I use a piece of black cloth to cover the lens while light painting in multiple different elements into a single exposure.

The camera settings that were used in this light painting tutorial were:
ISO 100
F16
Shooting on Bulb Mode
Exposure time on the final image was 161 seconds.

This image was created for the weekly light painting challenge in the Light Painting Brushes Tips and Tricks group on Facebook that can be found here: Light Painting Brushes Tips and Tricks
