The theme for the Light Painting Photography contest beginning November 1st 2019 is Homemade Light Painting Tool. This means that the image you create must be created with some sort of non-commercial light painting tool! Your tools can be as simple as an empty plastic bottle and some gels from our NEW Light Painting Photography contest sponsor ROSCO :), a custom cut piece of plexiglass, a piece of paper taped to a flashlight or if you’re a smarty pants you can create some super complicated Arduino electronic masterpiece that no-one else will understand. You are welcome to use a connector like the Light Painting Brushes Universal Connector to attach your custom made light modifying device to light source but you must create your image with some sort of self-made light modifier! You will also need to provide a picture of the tool in which you created your image with for this contest for your entry to be accepted! READ HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR IMAGE BELOW!
To Submit your Images:
Follow the THEME of the contest, “Homemade Light Tool”
Submit 2 Images. Image one is your entry, Image two is a picture of the homemade tool you used to create your entry.
Resize your images to 1200 pixels on the longest side and 72 dpi.
Include your name in the title of your submission (example John_Smith.JPG)
Follow all the instructions above and then email your single best entry in to (contest [at] lightpaintingphotography.com) before December 21, 2019 for a chance to win a featured post on the LPP website and a light painting prize pack from our super awesome sponsors listed below! If you do not follow the submission guidelines your image will not be included. As always no photoshop, yes you can develop or crop your image but no layers, cloning, mirroring, deleted or added pixels or any of that jazz.
